Do smaller skis make rails harder?

So I have these skis that I use on my backyard setup so that I dont mess up my nice skis for the mountain. The skis are 155's which is pretty small for someone who is 6ft tall. Last season I was sliding rails perfectly on my new skis which are 182's. But, today I went out in my backyard with my 155's to try using my rail and I couldnt seem to balance on it. Do smaller skis make rails harder?

The weight and feel will be completely different, especially if they aren't mounted the same. That's probably why you're off balance.

Technically you should be able to spin a lot faster and easier with short skis.

My summer setup skis are 158 i think, I hated them at first on but once I got the hang of them they were alright. It's not harder, it just feels a little different. I was also using some random race boots I found.

Sliding a rail in ski boots is a lot harder than sliding a rail on skis. Actually some sorta interesting physics and placebo effect behind it but yeah, you will have a harder time doing rails on short skis.
