So heres the deal im 180lbs and 6'2" right now I have lange fluid 80 freeride boots. I ski alot of bigmountain/steeps/trees with cliffs and some park but usually only jumps not rails. The langes felt realllly soft this past season and Im wondering if its time to move up to something a bit stiffer. Ive been looking at full tilts becuase they are pretty cheap right now but i want to know if you guys think it would be worth it for me to buy a new pair of stiffer boots.

Thanks

A stiffer boot sounds like what you need for the type of skiing you are doing.

however i cannot recommend you a boot as I am not bottfitting over the net and neither am i a bootfitter.

Go to a boot fitter, but i am guessing you have narrow feet.

But obvioulsy I didn't consider weight or anything saying a stiffer boot will be an advantage. So I may be wrong.

If you can fit that lange without any serious bootfitting, you can fit a full tilt, probably. Your best bet is to see a fitter though.

whoops bumped right after you posted lol

ya when I got the langes I needed no fitting or adjustments so Im guessing full tilts wont be a huge deal to get into.

regardless, the lange fit is relatively selective. Thats why i said probably. You need to see a boot fitter, or at least try them on somewhere before buying.

ive had my langes for like 3 seasons. granted theyre race boots and im a feather weight... id personally step it up to a stiffer boot if you can.

Stiffer boot will help you charge in bigmountain but sucks for dropping cliffs and skiing in the park(in my personal opinion). I get ridiculous shin-bang from stiff boots, but if you haven't in the past, maybe jump up a little in stiffness.
