Most of my friends just detune underfoot at the beggining of the season and leave the rest how it came out of the factory but never sharpen during the season so they get dull anyway. They don't seem to have any trouble with the ice either. We all have been skiing since we were 2-3 years old here though so we've learned how to handle the ice

13489531:Mr.noodle said:I just got into hitting rails last season and never detuned my skis, I ended up with a lot of edge cracks and a few inches of missing edge so this year in definatly detune my edges and try to make my skis last more than a season
