Do animals love?

humans come together, getmarried, and breed mostly because htey love each other. sex is for reproduction, but it is a product of our love. so I dont want people getting all sciency on my ass, but do you think animals just recognize the fact that they need to breed to survive so they get jiggy, or do they feel something... I know dolphins and humans are the only animals that have sex for pleasure, but maybe other animals actually feel something towards other animals...

Im not emotional or shit like that, it just kinda popped into my head

Definitely. Whenever I've had pairs of animals (eg: a male and female parakeet) and one dies, the other usually passes away not too long after because it misses the other. That's happened with dogs, birds, people, etc. I whole-heartedly believe that many animals love.

most animals dont stay with one partner for their whole life. i think that most animals just act off instinct and dont really have emotions

it depends what animal it is. what separates humans from the other animals is the ability to reason and think abstractly, this causes us to feel more emotions n stuff. in 'smarter' animals like birds like parakeets etc as you said they have more reasoning ability (some can even talk). also some monkeys and stuff like dogs and cats sometimes seem to have that sort of emotion. so i guess yeah animals love but it depends on the animal.

I don't know but I watched two male ducks try to rape some chick duck the other day... the chick duck seemed pretty pissed/was trying to run away/fly away whatever. but they kept comin at her.

is this just sexual love like man and woman love or family love? because i'd like to think when my dog was still around she loved me as much as i loved her. and this is not beastiality people
