Are they made of a thick material because I don't wan't them to rip like the helly hansens I got last year.

Yeah, how is DNA's durability? They're one of the few ski brands that have really nice looking clothes that have good waterproofing too so I really like the sound of them. I prefer a tough material to a super lightweight one though - anyone?

 
They hold up really well. I used them all season and have no holes or tears in the fabric. Granted, ANY pants that are baggy and go over your boot are going to get ripped eventually from walking and your bindings, but thats no fault of the material.

i have a dna coat and pants and both held up really well. the pants were fine until a broken rail had its way with them.
