I’m always happy to help others get into building their own skis.

when I built my first pair 10 years ago, all the ski and mould materials, including the CNC milling and the vacuum pump I used to press the skis all in was about $1200. Now you’d be looking for closer to $1800

I built a pair of powder skis and despite their simple construction they skied well enough. Had I known more about how they would flex I would have slimmed the core down more as they were kind of dead flex. I then went on to build plenty more of increasing quality and complexity.

if you’re methodical, do plenty research befor jumping in and you’ve got woodshop, arts & crafts and diy skills it’s relatively achievable to get a half decent pair out your first attempt.
