DIY Custom Skis

I got a old pair of skis I wanna make my own design on them, I don't want to spray paint the skis with white cause once it chips it looks wack asf. Is there anything I can like tape or place, or cut and place anything that I will be a able to draw/paint on to make my own design

Yeah I'm might end up using white spray paint

Just remember to put tape over your edges.

Big sheet of vinyl to cover the entire ski then carve things out of it. You can then spray paint the designs in and remove the vinyl later (basically a stencil) or leave the vinyl as the graphic. I've always wanted to try that out so if you go for let me know how it goes.
