hey. i was just wondering if you can practice stuff like swithc rodeos on a diving board, where you start, facing backwards, just standing at the end of the diving board. can you get enough push outwards to clear the board so u dont smack ur face on it?

Cats always land on their feet. Toast always lands buttered side down. I propose we strap pieces of toast to the backs of cats, buttered side up, and net them all together, the contraption, hovering inches above the surface, could link a monorail from Vancouver to New York.

it seems to me that you couldnt do it on a diving board cause there is no momentum. its just the same as jumping on a tramp isnt it? unless you could run backwards and jump which would be pretty tuff

maybe. ill have to try regular zero spins tosee if i can get far enough away from the board that i dont ugly myself up good

actually what i do is run and jump and turn 180 and bounce on the end and this gives me enough mo to get away from the board fine! it's cool to do flairs, back mutes and other stuff like this! i would really practice just the lil 180 first!

yea thats an ok way to do it. but you could probably do it running and taking off forward. my friend can do lincon loops and lincon 3s just off the side runnning and jumping forward, its pretty sick

I've seen a guy run, jump and do a 180 then bounced on the high dive and did a switch back..it was dope

i can run foward off a diving board and do back flips and lincoln loops...i am scared to try any backwards flippy spinny things, maybe next year.

thats what i do run jump bounce 180 and flippy spinny time! what's the big deal w/ doing loops and what not off the high dive, i'll do most all

is it best to try inverts off a diving board or to just huck yourself on skis, since i dont have a tramp and it would take me a while to learn shit on a tramp i am guessing, and since this year i can ski i am gonna throw mistys and stuff hopefully, but should i just hit the jump and throw my body or try it on a diving board?

First note that this is coming from someone who can't do inverts, but here goes: I'd definately learn the stuff on tramps first just so you get used to the feeling of rotation in the air, then if you wanna be safe do them on a water ramp, then once you can do that do them on snow. Cuz otherwise you could really hurt yourself and not be able to *gasp* ski!!!!

I've done a rodeo 5 of a dive board, that was pretty sick, would ugly you up if you screwed it though.

hey castlerock, obviously i could go forward and jump and do tricks. im not that stupid. i wanna try SWITCH stuff. as in facing backwards. i can do a rotation of stuff forward, but wanna practice it backwards.

Hey, Yah I can do switch rodeos on diving boards. Its like doing a backflip but just look to the side and back and your body will naturally wip around. Its kinda scray at first but not hard. A kinda hard switch trick is switch fronts off the tree metre. YOu gotta watch out for your forehead. But its just committing to it.

i just came back from vancouver and my uncle was doing switch backflip 540's on a diving board. there were pretty cool.

Switch move are damn easy on a diving bord, you have to get use to it, then try to get alittle jump then jump into the pool high and far from the baord and do the trick... I learned switch 'rodeo' by doing this....

I do them all the time, you don't need a running head start. First, just practice doin a front dive while standing backwords, then work to a flip, then switch rodeo's, misty's, ect. Good luck, just make sure you get out far enough.

Peace
