Distance from University of New Hampshire to Loon mt.

on average.... driving 'near' the speed limit... 1:30-1:45 depending on slowness of drivers along route 4.

it's pretty close to equal to WV as well, give or take 5 mins or so on average.

Gunstock is around 45-60 depending on traffic, Cranmore is anywhere from 1:15-1:45 usually, and then there is wildcat, attitash, and a few others around 2 hours or so.

and then there are the mtns in VT and maine... that are anywhere from 2.5 - 4 hours, but doable if the need be.

it's about equal drives timewise actually... and I think for non park skiing, loon is WAY better. The park at WV is ually better, but the lon park has a lot more and is usually just as fun.

I ski both equally and have a blast no matter where I am, and I don't think there is any need to try and say one is better than the other, it's not a competition. Unless we could get all the massholes to go to only one mountain, and we could ski the other, then I'd say there was a reason.

domn, didnt meen to drag in crowds obviously, i was klind of joking. loon and waterville are both equally dope places, loon has WAY more touristy people and is always crowded on weekends, they have a bigger park but i prefer watervilles to loons just because of preferance.
