Dirtjumping/ mountainbiking in summer

So I'm starting dirt jumping again becuase the season just ended up here in WA. Anyone else primarily ride dirtjumpers and not downhill?? I would try downhill but just don't have a bike for it. I'm currently on a Kona Shonky for dirt jumping

You can ride downhill on any bike, some just roll over stuff easier

Yeah, I only have a DJ bike at the moment. Like stupendous man said, you can ride DH on anything, I have a buddy who placed 3rd at the local DH race on a kona shred. That being said, I am trying to sell my DJ and pick up a more all-mountian/enduro ride for the summer
