diffrence between knitting and crocheting

hey i learned how to knit resently for hats and such.... i was wondering what the diffrence was and how each turn out and what turns out better... i just hope i didnt waist my time learning..................

I think there are a lot of techniques to crochetting but I know the basic form to make like a hat and it's very simple, like a one step process pretty much. Much easier than knitting and a lot less time consuming. Although from what I know crochetting ends up kind of patchy, with some large holes. Which makes sense considering it's so much easier. But I don't know a while lot I learned that stuff when I was like 7.

Crocheting uses a hook, and knitting uses needles. Neither looks better than the other. They're both simple if you just want a regular beanie, but if you want earflaps or a brim it's easier to crochet. That's what I think.

Crocheting is the way to go. It takes about half the time, only one needle, and it's easy. There is a different stitch pattern on crochet, but they both look fine.
