Different between soft and hard ski in park & pow?

Hey guys, ive a question. Whats exactly the different between a soft and a hard ski? I know a hard ski is better for jumping and a soft better for jibbing, and a hard powder ski is more stable on high speed but with a soft one you can easy butter and they are playful.

I ride a K2 domain and i do everything a bit, i konw its not an allmountain ski....

What is the different feeling to a stiff one, and how i know which one is better for me :)?

Another small question: What skis do the pros prefer?

You pretty much answered your own question, but I'll break it down as I understand it. Stiff park skis are better for bigger jumps and tend to be more stable.

Stiff pow skis are more stable for charging and sending bigger cliffs

Softer park skis are better for jibs, butters, etc

Softer pow skis are better for playing in the pow, many pow skis are fairly soft.

I prefer medium soft skis, I don't tend to send it too big, but love to play around on rails, do butters, and smaller jumps. Pro's are just going to ski whatever their sponsor gives them unless they have some input into the production of the skis.

Thank you very much for your answer =) Have you some examples for medium hard skis? I think the chronic, ar 7 or a bit softer the arv is one of them, is that true?

Chronic tends to run a bit stiffer I believe, same with the Stepup. AR7's, also are somewhat stiff. Most park skis are soft-medium soft, while Big Mountain and Pipe skis are more stiff.
