Difference between LDPE and HDPE?

im on us plastics and is there a difference between LDPE and HDPE?

low density vs high density polyethylene or somethign? i think one is like those puffy foam cups, and like the flexy plastic cups. then again, i have no idea what i am talking about.

You want HDPE for a box. Its high density polyethylene or something vs low density.

i got mine from usplastics.com and they custom cut it. shits expensive and i couldn't find it anywhere locally. my advice is just make rails

HDPE is expensive, but easy to get....
http://www.mcmaster.com/ is another good online industrial supply place, i've bought through them many times while working in industry.

I take back what I said, HDPE isn't too expensive when buying thin sheets, not at all!

ldpe is higher friction so you want hdpe because it slides better
