Difference between afterbang and new stepup?

for those of you that have checked out line's 2011 lineup, what is the difference between the afterbang and the new model, stepup? They are both skateboard construction, 115-88-115

if there is a difference, why would line make 2 skis with such strong similarities? why not make a skinnier/fatter park ski for those who prefer that?

The step ups are a stiffer ski than the afterbangs. Same construction and shape but a bit stiffer. I had a chance to ski them and really enjoyed the extra stiffness to them. Two thumbs up.

the step up has a 10 string carbon ollie band, and the afterbang has just five

Im not sure if the step up has butter zones

the step up is just more ski... u can feel it when your on it, just feels solid and skis the whole mountain a bit better. great jump ski, and still a great jib ski. if you're looking for a noodle park ski from line... the only option left really is the mastermind, which is an amazing jib ski for the $.

Afterbangs and StepUp are both super good skis! The only different thing is that the StepUp is stiffer but have a little more pop!
