i would like to let any of you know that if you missed the sasquatch festival(at the Gorge in WA), or decided against going, you're worst fears are confirmed - it was fucking amazing. the weather could have been much better, but literally every show we went to see was extremely good. The new pornographers showed that even though they are an allstar band (this was their only appearance of the year), they are very good stage performers. Built to Spill showed me the light and jammed in their own way (non typically good as far as jamming goes). Not to mention that despite thier technical difficulties they still played their instruments better than 95% of live acts with fully functional equipment. The Shins were extremely good, despite rumours of them not being particularly strong performers. And of course it was the Postal Service that owned the show - very very cool to see, and good god the girl is sexy as hell, i'd marry the bitch right now. The vibe at this point was so good that we left a few songs into the roots set (who i used to be a huge fan of). So i can't really comment on them or theivery corporation (who i like).
song of the week to download: 'Streets Of London' by Ralph McTell
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman : God has a hard on for Marines, because we kill everything we see. He plays His games, we play ours. To show our appreciation for so much power, we keep heaven packed with fresh souls. God was here before the marine corps, so you can give your heart to Jesus, but your ass belongs to the corps.
