Diabolic vs Tyler the Creator

Thought I already covered this. Geeze guys. Diabolic only used Tyler's beat to make it that much more obvious it was a diss song and that he could use his own beat to make fun of him with. And to everybody saying I'm getting mad, QQ, etc.. I'm not. I realize everyone has an opinion of music but I just like Diabolic's flow, style and content. Not to mention his verses and rhyme schemes are extremely complex. You can like Odd Future all you want but I'm still going to fucking hate them. And Immortal Technique is a hip-hop genius. Only retards who have only heard Dance with the Devil think he isn't good because they are 12.

everyone likes different things. why are we arguing who is better? no one of them is"better" . its personal preference. listen to whatever music you want

Immortal is not that good. Seriously. Kids need to give the genius thing a rest, he kinda raps about politics in a ridiculous conspiracy theory type of way. He's not impressive. Tyler's right, the whole "super underground" scene is stupid. People should realize popular shit is popular for a reason, most don't want to here some pissed off Peruvian that thinks he can say the n word talk accuse the government of inventing AIDS. I'm gonna let you in on a biiiiig secret... It's okay to have fun with music. Mind blowing isn't it?

While Diabolic kills it verbally, Tyler definitely has his style and flow down to a science. However, his lyrics are lacking in depth, at least in comparison to Immortal and Diabolic.

They're both good, depending on what you're looking for. While I am a personal fan of Diabolic, the point of hip hop is not necessarily to preach a political message, and if you're reaching a broader audience, you're clearly doing something right.

I suppose it all depends on how morally involved you care to get, but this would be too unseemly a compromise for the internet.

do you guys like shad?

Well, this is just more stuff that I disagree with you on. We clearly have different views on music and the world, so I'm not going to try to change your view, but just explain myself. Not trying to be an ass, just saying we aren't looking at this the same in any way.

Immortal isn't making music for the money, he's trying to send a message. You said in your post above that Tyler is richer than Immortal will ever be. That's looking at it from a terrible perspective. Obviously Immortal doesn't care about the money. He put out his last album for free. The things he raps about would anger most important people in the industry, and clearly he realizes that. Which brings me to my next point...

I believe music is a very powerful medium, and that songs can send a huge and important message. Sure, I listen to a lot of stuff for the sound and not the message, but I think there's a lot of different types of music. Songs can have a huge impact on society, a great example is music that turned people against the Vietnam War. It's powerful, and has the ability to do that.

I never said everything he raps about is fact. I agree, some of his ideas are crazy. But he is incredibly aware of how fucked up our government is, how corrupt politicians are, and how much we have fucked over billions of people around the world. A lot of people don't agree with those thoughts, because they choose not to, have grown up believing the US is the best country in the world, are unaware of the extent of social injustice in the world, or whatever. I can understand not wanting to hear someone rap about social problems if you don't like their flow, but saying all of his stuff is conspiracy theories and telling me to pull my head out my ass (not you) without saying anything intelligent is just dumb.

Haters gonna hate. After looking through this thread I feel like I am the only one who likes both tyler and technique. Tyler is cool in his own way and he does stand out from a lot of people. And some of Immortal Techniques songs like "Dance with the Devil", "Point of no return", and "You never know" really make me feel something and speak to me when I listen to them. I have respect for both and maybe thats fucked up. Is this weird? Whatever. haters gonna hate.
