I'm excited to play it. I'll play it casually, so I'll get owned by the losers that strive to play more than me. Nevertheless, it will be a good time.
 
ive been stoked on this game for quite some time. Now as it comes closer I might not buy it. Dunno if I wanna spend $60 on it and I have no time to play video games anymore.. Probably gonna wait a week or two and then get it.
 
i trust you're from the west coast? comes out at midnight west coast time. so 3 a.m. eastern time and so forth
 
I'm a big fan of Diablo II and always will be. I've played that game TONS, but there's no way in hell I'll play D3. video games are so boring to me nowadays. I can't play more than 5 minutes without getting bored, dunno why...
 
Gunna build myself a sick rig this summer but currently brokeass. Can't wait to start up D3 and also The Old Rebuplic. Goodbye 2012.

A few friends said that the game is real letdown and nothing like Diablo I and II. Could be nostalgia talking, but it does look a bit too pastelly and colourful to be a grim hack 'n' slash.
 
DI and DII were dope, DIII just looks like WoW zoomed out. The fact that it's online only makes it an absolute no-go for me. I give zero fucks about Battle.net. They should've kept it a single player game.
 
Actually, I guess DI console could be played multi, and LAN is cool, but Battle.net blows still.
 
idk what your talking about, D3 has been fucking FANTASTIC other than the intial launch errors, which were going to happen no matter what. Oh no, D3 doesnt look like a game from 10 fucking years ago, cry more. Its total Nostalgia, this game is fun as shit, Witch Doctor is fun as shit, and after 11 hours of straight playing, I can say that so far, so GREAT.

Idk how its wow zoomed out, whatsoever, and I play that shit weekly, when not laddering SC2.
 
Im telling you to get it. I went from the biggest fan of games, to getting bored in 10 min, even with a new release... but Ive now put 11 hours in, and the only reason im not still playing is because of emergency maint.
 
Go cry some more.. so that's what people get for giving their opinions on a long-awaited game and being disappointed with the gameplay, art style and most of all the skill tree progression?

Maybe I should use more CAPS LOCK to imply I'm understandably CONCERNED that this is what happens when people are not a 100% sold on A VIDEO GAME.
 
sarcasm? im on the fence with the changes. part of me says the game is too casual but the other part thinks it looks amazing.
 
Why do you think skill trees are dumb, I don't get it. That's not even an argument, just a statement. Hurrdurr they're dumb... try and build rapport with that line.
 
Never played WOW, never will.

I'm comparing what I've seen in videos of the Beta and what my friends said today to what I know of previous Diablos' skill trees.

I honestly have no idea what MOP is, but I think D2's skill trees are awesome and well-built, and I just played that game for the first time last year. Build on basic abilities which in hand affect future abilities with certain percentage, I for one enjoyed that a lot.

Like I said, haven't played D3, and probably never will as I felt even D2 becoming too boring and clicky before I even finished it, just going on friends' opinions that mirror mine.

Just because something is old doesn't make it bad, I mean what the fuck? Should someone who enjoyed Diablo games previously have a frame of reference to some MMO they've never played? I just stated in my post that I only played D2 for the first time last year and thought it was well-executed and very, very good.

Fuck it, I'm gonna go have to give this one a go at my friends' and bring you a tried opinion.
 
I have to agree on this. The best part of Diablo 2 was leveling up and getting to choose skills. Now it seams you don´t get to do shit
 
33% installed! Gonna cancel my old republic sub now and make money off ofthe real money AH hopefully.or at least offset some of my SWTOR expenses.
 
Played around two hours so far with a friend, not too bad. Although they are performing maintenance already, kicking everyone off their servers. So far, its pretty cool, I dont like how you HAVE to level up the skill they give you, not like the branches that were mentioned already. I really liked how in D2 you have to choose between one or the other to level up, not in D3.
 
HAH! Biggest fucking troll ever! Blizzard announced that the servers are down due to log in issues. Error 3003. Plus most games stopped downloading and are stuck until this gets fixed! I was sooo pumped to play this game only to login right as the server crash happened!
 
hm, should have logged in earlier. Ive been playing since 4am with no problems, other than 1 boot, and I was able to get right back in.
