Xgames has always been a bigger deal. Xgames goes back to 95 and winter to 97 ish. Dew tour started in 2008.
I like that dew tour kept bmx dirt in the years where x games abandoned it. I've been digging what's been going on with dew tour recently and have liked the courses/events more than X.
X will always be a higher level. Also the music hasn't been good at xgames in like a decade. I will say watching the massive line for the busses after bassnectar was amusing the one year. More electronic music for people who don't go to shows to buy fake drugs and get like so high bro on research chemicals. I guess they still get some decent hip hop sometimes but generally seems to focus hard on rando electronic acts. And now pushing the shows more for noobs from denver to come out just for the music.
X games in general is pretty whack but I'll always watch slope at least to see the course. Been watching since the beginning. Doesn't matter a ton to me any more. I think it's lost some of the magic from becoming more repetitive, the internet etc putting out action sports content, and me getting older.
Stoked to see the dew tour rail jam and modified pipe comps
