Dew Tour Scaffold Jump

Don't know if anyone else saw this, but during Snowboard superpipe, one of the competitors jumped off the scaffold at the starting area to get speed. It was pretty slow but it was insane. +K if anyone can find the video.

would that even give him some extra speed? because it looked like it didnt really do anything. or maybe he was just doing it for fun.

it might give him a bit more cause its like a running start instead of a start from rest. but i dont think he would really gain anything substantial

Yeah the trajectory of the landing was not nearl steep enough for it to have a noticeable effect haha

i think it had to help atleast a little... better than starting at the same spot with no speed

clearly did it to be that "cool guy going so fast when it's slow anyway". sort of like the dudes bombing into jumps on a powder day and complaining on the lift about how it's slow. sucks that it was like that during the dew tour though.
