Dew Tour is re-inventing slopestyle and half pipe skiing!!!!!!

Having the team challenge is probably one of the best things for skiing in a while. Think about it, now brands are less likely to drop their riders because if they do they cant compete and miss all that sweet sweet free advertising.
 
Dis gon be good. So stoked to see that companies will have the opportunity to select their riders for the team competition! I feel as though this has the potential to really mix it up and give different skiers some exposure on a larger scale. Can't wait to see what line's lineup will look like!
 
They shouldve dropped a list of the ski brands that are competing at the team comp so ns could start arguments about Who from the team are gonna be on the comp haha, but hell yea to ns and dew tour for making this happen.

Well, I am certain it will not be free for a company to have a team. They are certainly paying for it in one way or another.

Still dope though, love skiing going in the team direction.

Think about which companies sponsor athletes. Atomic or Armada will probably win let's be honest.

The company that owns us is putting this on, and its basically headed up by Snowboader Magazine, Transworld Snowboarding, Newschoolers and Powder. This thing is definitely our show.

I would have liked to get even crazier with making it far different than it turned out to be perfectly honest with you, but all the past stuff involved made it harder to get fully into the stratosphere with fucking shit up. This will be an amazing start, and will be a great first step in the goal to totally change the comp world over the next 5 years that we'll be running it.

how though? They have a sick fucking team. But the only athlete I could see winning is Kelly and maybe Devin. Alex and Antti are fucking sick riders but when you put them up against a field of other athletes have they ever really done well? My money, like I said is on Atomic. Gus, Jossi, Beau, Mike and Lisa. Or maybe Armada.

Weren't Alex and Antti both on the podium of the slvsh cup last spring though? Not the same thing but alex hall in particular has a pretty huge bag of tricks

Have any of them ever competed in Dew Tour though? They have a sick team no doubts. But you need to look at only the athletes that will compete.

Interested to see what Line iS going to do, the got loads of good rail skiers and Tom or LJ maybe to the jumps? But for the pipe lol i wanna see Erik Olson doin straight airs and handplants.

Head is also mad underrated, for jumps they have skiers like Evan mcrhan (or how tf you spell it haha) and Noah wallace and for rails Jesper or Lake dog, i think they have some kind of pipe guy in their team too

I am freakin STOKED about this. Super excited to watch how it plays out - how riders strategies will change and the new battles we will see for podium contenders. If I were a pro skier I would think it would feel like Christmas... And the best part is that Newschoolers is helping lead the way.
 
Ah i see how it is now. We kill off events like JOSS, Orage Masters, etc. so that the team format can be stolen by coporate america and implemented into the Mt. Dew Tour thus translating into profits and corporate growth.

The masterplan is starting to show itself. Wake up, sheeple.

they are going to be taking some serious speed into that pipe...i wonder what they mean by a waterfall at the end of it?
 
I think schneesterns test course for the olympics a year or two ago did a lot as well.

Def will be watching. I always love seeing more creative courses. I miss the randomness of some of the old contest setups.

Should be sick.
 
Can someone please explain what a waterfall jump is? I get a waterfall rail but what's a waterfall jump? Is it a modified tabletop or what?

they had something like that as one of the opening features at the laax open this past year and some pretty insane stuff went down on it, especially when you starting throwing some of the more creative skiers at it, like antti was going to town, huge sw cork 3 handdrags and such
