it doesnt really help your edges from getting torn apart. all it does is help you from chetching your edge. just get a file or gummy stone and detune the underfoot of the ski from about where your toe is to the back of your heal.

i think im gonna have to do that...first....new skis

"Holy shit, did you see that tweaked out pencil! That was insane, that guy really knows how to rip."

how exactly shuld u do this? im gettin new skiis and i hate breaking in the edge.

just get a file and take the sharpness off the edge from the back of the heelpiece to the front of the toepiece. run your fingernail crossways along the edge; if little flakes of your fingernail come off, it's still too sharp. if not, then you're good.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

dont be like grindin that thing down though, just make it dull, u may want to sharpin it someday and ur gonna need some edge left over to do so.

i got a question, if im going to a big air in 2 weeks should i detune my edges? im bringing other skis for a rial jam ifthey have one....but i was wondering if its easier to catch your edge with sharp edges on slush or would it help just to detune under the foot

BOGART!!

Get a base bevel, it's like steroids for your park skis. But really, it makes it so much smoother on rails and buttering is easier too.

i wouldnt detune a pair of skis youd be using for big air, only detune if they are gonna be used on rails
