Desperation I mean deviation skis

I personally think what deviation is doing is super sick. Not many companies are willing to support an athlete that spends the majority of his time in the streets, let alone give him a "pro model". I have heard incredible things about the construction/quality/performance of the skis this company makes. What is wrong with trying to put their product out there?

You have to remember that making a pro model ski is a business move. The end goal of creating a pro model is to sell skis. If you are going to shed hate on this, you gotta frown upon the Line TWP, Armada B-dog, Armada E-dollo, K2 TBL boots etc.

King of Connecticut, the champion of West Hartford, the 860 Avenger, the Beast from the East Lupe needs me to buy skis to keep his professional career as a skier rolling? I feel some kind of moral obligation to buy, I asked if they were edgeless on his insta post and he deleted the comment for some reason lol

Homie could have sold more than the 30 pairs needed to stay afloat with basic marketing like reviewing it, making a product video focused on the product. Giving away one of them to incentivize people getting on an email list, giving free shipping to everyone on that email list. Making a video recommending the best bindings for that ski, literally anything other than that last post he made on instagram.

Wallisch/Phil/Henrik aren’t posting front facing video begging for me to purchase their skis tho (so that their career as a free skier and artist can continue!!!!!)

I personally think you’re talking out of your ass 300%. The skis fucking suck. Lupe is a great dude, but I know many people who have ridden for deviation/still do and the quality of the skis is absolutely garbage tier. Their not fun skis to ride, and they fall apart so fucking easily which is embarrassing given how much they cost. What incredible things have you heard? I’m quite curious about what the fuck that actually entails because very single person I know who has ridden their skis has let me know how goddamn trash they are. Not to mention how disrespectful the company has been to some of their riders….

I agree, his video isn't that bad but begging people to buy your ski is not a good look in general, especially when it's 30 pairs. I wonder how many pairs he sold last year. They had a good team video last year and lupe has 11k followers, there must've been other ways. But his post isn't that cringe

Harsh reality of a pro skier making money. I’d do the same thing if I had a pro model, maybe just leave out the part about the company, I feel like that info should be private.

Idk I just want to see Lupe keep killing it, and if it inspires a couple people to buy the skis to do that that’s not a horrible thing.

homies skied street for so long give homies cranium a break, hope for the best

Hard to tell if they're good because they're fucking edgeless and edgeless skis are trash as fuck for 99% of skiing (the 1% is while you are actively sliding a rail)

So many small ski companies do not know how to market their product or have a distinct creative vision. Companies like arsenic and Vishnu have been successful because they make a unique product and make people feel like they are a part of a community. They release content that shows customers their vision. I think I’m decently tuned into the current ski scene, like I might not know every trendy snow pants brand out there, but I have barely even heard of this ski company. I don’t know how small companies like this expect to succeed when instead of making a big splash and getting noticed in the industry, they barely make a ripple.
