For some reason all of my desktop icons are highlighted. I've tried

going My Computer>Properties>Advanced>Settings>and

un-checking the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" but

nothing happens. I've also tried right clicking a blank area on my

desktop and un-checking "Lock web items on desktop" but still nothing

happens. Anyone now what is up? I noticed this happened when I had

iTunes open. I'm on a school network and I have my music set to share

with other people on the network. I noticed my friend was on too with

his music and now I'm just wondering if he was able to mess with my PC

some how through that. Cause all I had open was itunes and all of a

sudden my screen went blue and now all my icons are highlighted. Anyone

know whats up?

did you hit shift 5 times fast? when i do that it turns on sticky keys and when ever i click, it highlights everything, only way ive gotten it to go away is just a simple restart

yea i have restarted a bunch of times...i did a google search on this topic and the 2 things i have tried are how the problem is suppose to be fixed.. do you think it was my friend being a dick through iTunes somehow? cause i was connected to his shared music when it happened and iTunes was the only thing open...hell i wasn't even using my pc, i was doing hw in front of it and i had just left iTunes open

there wasn't anything your friend could have done to your PC unless you have software that allows him to pull up your desktop over an IP address, or he's a pretty legitimate hacker, but even then, i doubt he could really do what you have explained.
