did you ask the shop if they were stocking the 8? Perhaps they stock the 4 and 6 but not the 8. But it is only sept 4th so give shops some time to get the stock in.
You could go get fitted up in the 4 or 6 and check the fit as they use the same shell. That way once the 8 comes in stock you know what fitting they will require.

Like I said though you can go get shell checked in the 4 or 6 and you could even get the footbeds made ready to go into the 8 once they are in stock.

Yerp, I did a hell of a search to spot Sidas somewhere on the EastCoast, and was lucky to find a store that carries them. But I need an actual boot to get footbeds custom molded.. So, gotta wait till my 8 arrives. Hopefully it is not a long wait.

you can wait for sure but you don't have too. If you wanted you could get the footbeds made and then they can be added to which ever boot you end up in. The footbed is individual to your foot but not really the boot. I have a couple of pairs I use between all my boots.
But they only take an hour or so to make so its not really saving much time getting them done before.

it has to do with their production cycle in Italy. Honestly. The factory that the boots are made in is not that large only about 5,000 Square feet. So FT spaces production out in 2-3 batches. Arriving mid August, September, and October Ideally. Basically the factory builds enough boots to fill a shipping container, ships them, then starts more. Not terribly efficient I know but when you're dealing with the Italian ski boot mafia your at the mercy of the way they want to do it since no one else has the injection moulding technology they do.
Just keep your fingers crossed the west coast port strikes don't come back up again. Then we might be waiting for a while. There were more than a few disappointed girls last season because of how long it took Soul Sister to get here. (Late November)

No problem. And just an update. Looking at Vashon Storefront, the site we use to do B2B, says Descendant, First Chair, and Soul Sisters are slated to start shipping the 17th of September. Lets keep our fingers crossed thats a good date!
