i havent seen the crash but i heard its pretty intese considering he split is aeorda or whatever
 
He's on ns, dspong99. Just so everyone doesn't bother him, when I talked to him he said he had a cat scan scheduled for June and he expects to be cleared after that. He also filmed an interview w Scarred but he's not sure when it will air.

Much respect to d-spong, he's a good dude and I hope to see him tear it up on film in the future.

nah when are they gonna do wilsons crash in yearbook, where he cased a step down that might have rivaled the one candide did. or when are they gonna do candide.

Wilson's undershoot was at Aspen, CO back in 03, I just watched that seg in MSP's Yearbook recently. It was a bad undershoot and it messed him up. These guys, Wilson, Thovex, dspong, and Dumont are all tough as nails.

Just in case there are any n00bs who haven't seen all these yet, I'll post them so they can appreciate the level of risk these pros subject themselves to in the name of progression.

The jump Wilson cased was way bigger than Candides jump. Wilsons was 185feet I hear, candides was 145. Plus Wilson landed on an uphill wall and stoped instantly, candide landed on flat and kept moving.
 
Yeah Wilson should have died. If it was a wall like Derek's crash, then I don't think he would still be walking... or breathing.
 
yea man, i agree with you completely, especially when you see the comments on the videos of people laughing and making jokes about that shit.. its way fucked up.
 
Of the videos D's is the worst, going that fast and stopping into a solid wall has much more of a observed pain value than wilsons because wilson not only absorbed the crash with his feet, he landed into less packed snow and it was up hill rather than sheer vertical. Im not saying one is worse, but for tv, D spongs looks worse. Tanner got his up their first because he was thrown tumbling down the mountain, scorpioning. Simon's is also not as visibal and extravagant. Plus D spongs knocked over the rage films letters!
 
Technically Derek did die when he undershot that jump. His entire body was damaged beyond repair, luckly it turns out Alex Murphy was faking his injury so they gave Derek the cyborg reanimation project.
