yeah props to him. I've always liked Jeter even though he's gay as fuck ( I don't care if he has a girlfriend). Hardworking, classy, and a future hall of famer.
 
Jeter is the one player one the Yankees that has a lot of class, he is a really good ballplayer and doesn't talk shit, he hasn't done anything bad in his career and this just add to his hall of fame ticket, because he will get it.

actually, having dealt with yankees players on a more personal level than most fans, i can safely say the majority of them are actually really nice, classy guys. The team does a lot to promote it's image; players always show up to the ballpark in, and leave in nice suits, will almost always stop for a young fan, and are nice guys to deal with at work.

most top teams are like that, but the yankees really go the distance every time.
 
Thats sick though. One of my good buddies had that same exerience in New York for his birthday a few years back. Said Jeter was the nicest guy there and A-Rod was a prick.
 
Jeter was super nice. Came in when I wasn't looking and slapped down the bill of my hat and said "You looking for me?" with the biggest smile. And that's sick for your buddy! Especially on his birthday. I thought A-Rod was nice though. Here's a pic of that:
