Depressing to go out West

I'm going to Fernie for the Christmas break. It's my first time going out west skiing and it's the most depressing thing. They're opening the day I arrive, and the snow reports say the snow it horrible. Right now, I'm just hoping they get rain, then if they open at leats a day later, I get my money back and can go hit up Jay Peak.

we just got dumped on today at fernie. Friday it's going to get real cold as an artic low comes in and hits that low pressure, result? Fucking huge dumps of snow. So don't fret my brethern, fernie might be great anyways.

its snowing right now at my house, which is right at the base of the sierras. 4-5 inches in like 3 or 4 hours and I bet the mountains got alot more snow. Its supposed to be snowing all the way until next saturday to.

 
uh dude...it's been puking like fucking mad on the upper mountain. The snow is REALLY deep up there. The problem is that the bottom third has been getting rain, and with out snow on the base, they can't open. It's supposed to cool down after sunday, so the base should get what it needs for everything to open up, and meanwhile, the upper mountain will just keep getting more snow.

Don't worry about it, it'll be good.

The snow pack on the upper mountain is at 73cm with snow forcasted right through until opening day.

it would be super great here in washington, but we got this warm ass system with a shit load of rain in it,and is kinda missing the mountains, and the stuff that is falling is like drizzle at the base, otherwise,like if this system came from the northwest, there would be many feet that would fall
