Denver: Ruby Hill Opening Day?

There's never really a set opening day, I believe it was early January last year. It really depends on the weather, so hopefully it gets cold and stays that way.

I havnt really ever seen the dirt jumps there but holy shit if we could get a crew together to build a corse through it after a big snow that would be amazing.

is that against the rules? the whales tail would make a nice step up step down.

need a solid Dnever dump but there is so much potential in the bike park

bump for snow

This

from the ruby hill fb page

"Good news... we will have two new features this year (two flat rails) and the return of an old favorite (think big and blue), along w/ our usual assortment of boxes and rails.

Temps need to be under 28 degrees for five days in a row for us to make a proper Ruby Hill Rail Yard base. After that, we'll need a few days for the snow to leach and then we'll start setting up the park. Shooting to open first week of January, conditions permitting."

who wants to go build some jumps??? i rarely come on here, definitely gonna regret this but send me a text (970) 769-2129.

and also from the Facebook page, the cat from winter park probably won't be here for a couple days, and they want the snow they've blow to "leach" whatever that means so still a few days out.

Snowmaking snow is wet and heavy, especially at high temps. They want to let the water drain out of the snow and dry out before tearing into the piles with the cat and grooming them out.

Pretty much the reason for any time you've seen a bunch of whales that aren't groomed out when they've finished making snow.
