I'm moving there in july to start fire academy and hopefully work at denver fire in a few years. however, til then, ya boy is gonna be leading the CHEAP life.
I know a lot of you guys live there or in the area. any tips? places to find rooms to rent? jobs? fun? frands?
as someone who is currently apartment hunting; good fucking luck. if your trying to live anywhere in the downtown area plan on paying a fuckin ton. my rent has gone up $500 in the past 2 years.
south denver, 5 points, west denver, park hill, are going to be your best bets as far as cheap living goes. you could get lucky and find a 500-600/month apartment in capitol hill but it will be a tiny studio apt.
I25/Colorado or University Blvd area is nice, it's right around campus, and only 10 minutes from downtown. plenty of 4 person houses for 2 G's or less, so 400-500 a person.
I live in LoDo, and yeah its expensive, but its a great area to do shit and have fun. Obviosly your best bet is getting roommates, but if you hunt around im sure you can find a place that works by yourself. Best of luck homie! Denvers awesome!
If you feel like driving 8 hours for a break from the city ill be Alta, UT for the summer! The best of no one around and a polluted city 8 miles away down canyon!
