Dental School

I haven't signed onto this website in ages, but I'm curious - anyone on here going to dental school or interested in pursuing it after undergrad? It's a shot in the dark, but hit me up if you are/have any questions about the process. Dentistry a boss career that allows you the freedom to ski a lot, among many other things.

A lot of my really good friends are DS4s. Seems like a pretty good career path to be honest. Relatively stable hours, good pay...what's not to like? I have a couple older friends who are now orthodontists and it's crazy how much money they make for what is seemingly a day job.

A really close family friend of ours owns a dental clinic, and I have a couple friends that are now DS1's, and one thats a DS4. It really does seem like a great career path, and has WAY better hours than medicine while having approximately the same pay.

I'm applying to med school in the summer, but I'd love to be a dentist. In terms of family life and all that, it's the way to go. I have MUCH stronger reasons for going into medicine though, far beyond the fact that it's a good career to go into, so I couldn't even imagine going another route haha.

this. i could have done dental, the pay is good, no life threatening emergency stuff, people don't usually make emergency odd hours visits to the dentists... I just couldnt do it though, it's not my thing. I think orthodontists basically make their own hours too.
