Im going to Denmark in September and im wondering if anyone has been there or if any NS'ers actually live there now. I might permanently move so im just wondering how you guys liked it.

I've been there, I go almost every summer. Good hot dogs. Definitely learn the language to get accustomed with the people easier, if not many speak good English. Haven't been there lately, but definitely a nice place, enjoy if you do go!

Heading there in april, wondering what it's gonna be like, never been there. Think we're going to that Noma place.

I think i'll be in Copenhagen for a lot of my time, my friend told me that they speak a lot of English there because of the way the schools are set up they need to learn English and German on top of Danish. I still want to learn Danish though just to not be a nuisance to the locals.

Whats Noma?

Copenhagen is the city in Europe I haven't been to that I want to go most. Thinking of renting a car when I'm in Switzerland and going end of April.

I've been to Copenhagen and it's amazing. Definitely check out Christiania when you're there. It's a small hippy village that's in an old army base in the middle of the city. It's really interesting, they sell weed legally on the streets, and you can relax with a beer on picnic benches. Even if you don't smoke, still go. It's quite an experience. They only have three laws: No hard drugs. No pictures. No running.

im from danmark but i live in portland oregon usa, i would check out aarhus i like better than copendhagen. My dads from bornholm, its a really small island to the side of danmark its pretty cool but i wouldnt check it out unless your going to be there for a while. ill be back there this summer, definitely enjoy the beer and Aebleskiver.

No running because it causes panic. Once in a while the federal government raids the drug dealers and then everyone runs. People assume shits going down when people run.

Not sure why you aren't allowed pictures. Probably because it could incriminate people from Copenhagen who want to go smoke some weed and relax without being judged. Who knows.

It's true, those are the only laws. Technically it falls under all Danish laws, but it's a zone that is looked over by the police and government so those are the only rules, which are set by the residents.

Christiania could be taken over and be shut down at the will of the Danish government, but they simply choose not to. It's a wild concept
