Fuck yeah! Virginia is looking nuts....overall 2 million votes cast and it will be decided by a few thousand.

But Amendment 44 and Referendum I didn't pass in Colorado... (not that it is as important as controlling the House)

Scott, you probably heard, but Ritter won for governor here in Colorado.
 
yeah, I still vote in CO, so I've been paying attention to those races too.

sucks about amendment 44 and referendum I, but seriously all I care about right now is the senate.
 
Yeah, this whole senate thing is kinda unexpected, it would be cool if we got the two seats. Too bad montana's a classic Red state...
 
have faith! The Dems still have the lead in Montana with 70% in. Hope for the best...

now Virginia, that could get messy. It will be at least another day before we truly know what the results are there.

seriously....if the Dems took control of the senate too it would seriously be a great election year.
 
I live in Montana and it seems like most people think that the Republican (Conrad Burns) is going to lose to the Democrat (Jon Tester). Tester was ahead in all the polls and stuff. We did a mock election in my government class today. Tester won 13 to 8. Go Tester.
 
Looking at the polls right now, with 80% in, its really close, a few thousand. Expect recounts in Virginia and Montana, but I actually think the Dem's have the Senate and House this round. Quite an unexpected turn, might have to celebrate tomorrow night.
 
we are kinda sheltered from the views of the overall population of Colorado here in Boulder. We are exposed to the views of the people in Boulder and the ski resorts, but never the views of the people in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Fort Collins, or the plains to the east. I honestly thought that ref I would pass, but that is because all I saw was the movement for it here and not the strong opposition against it that originated in Colorado Springs. All to often we forget that if you are against the right for people to be gay in the first place, that you certainly won't vote to allow gay people to have domestic partnerships.
 
i am currently in one of the counties still counting votes in virginia. right now webb (the dem) is in the lead but don't expect any definite results for a while. they are only seperated by less than 7,000 votes. crazy to think about when there were well over 2,000,000 votes cast.

both canadites have already announced that they have won, pretty humorous if you ask me.
