One time I saw them at the same festival as Everclear and that Canadian group Len. A bunch of shittier groups were there too that played sets I don't really remember (Moby, Eve 6, Zebrahead, Oleander) Anyways a bunch of my friends were hyped but I hadn't really listed to them yet and their set kinda sucked IMO. Maybe they were drunk. I've never really tried to listen to them since. Maybe I should give it a try. That Len album turned out to be a classic though.

This has been a common problem for them over the years. Live performances are uneven, they've gone through some periods where members were heavily into drugs, were fighting with each other, and Chino has had to have vocal cord surgery several times.

Check out their studio stuff though if you like rock or metal. People will tell you White Pony is the best, but if you're new to the band I would start with Diamond Eyes.
