This happened when i was at skibowl yesterday. I didn't notice it while skiing, and only noticed it today when i took them out to wax them. What should i do about this?

+K for good advice

That's not even that bad.

Using a razor, trim down the rough parts and clean up the gouge. Then p-tex candle or baseweld and scrape with a metal scraper.

for gouges deep enough to see the core, i would recommend taking it to your local shop and getting them to do it. When you do it yourself using the candle method you get a bit of ash in the p tex which seems to make it crack and fall out faster.

Yeah thats nothing, I'v never p-texed with a candle as I just use the gun were I work but yeah you can fill that pretty easy.

And yeah just get one of those little blade things to take off the rough bits.

I just had a gouge like that. The ptex candle fixed it very well. Just do a good job scraping when your done to keep it smooth.

Thanks for all the great advice guys. ended up using the ptex candle and scraped it off pretty thoroughly. looks just fine besides the ptex being a different color than the rest of the base. +K for everyone!
