Decorating My (new) House - Murals ideas

I have recently bought a house (1st time), ARGH, and wanted to keep my own signiture/touch to it. So I wanted to decorate/paint/graffiti one of the walls in the Living Room.

i want a mountian to be the focus it, but with some detail (skiers, lines) across etc. Im not sure if i dreamt it up or saw it on some ski graphics, but i am imagining some along the lines of K2 Obsethed... Graffiti style-esque black out line and detail, with white and blue colour making up snow and shadows, sky. etc....

Please if you have idea, pics, links, art that you think would be good, let me know....

painted my bedroom in my appt from last semester

project needed to be done quick and I never bothered adding to much detail. I would recommend though getting a solid base layer down that is done real loose and abstract. Just blocking out potential areas where you want more detail then after your loose base area go back and add the detail you want. i.e more definitive graffiti style mountains, skiers, and etc...

also maybe look into grabbing some montana paint markers if your looking to outline anything. The are completely opaque and will go over anything underneath
 
if you are looking to paint it yourself, hit up michaels for the large pre stretched canvas and get 3 to make a triptych. Use acrylic as its the easiest medium to work with. The triptych allows you to space them apart to fit the wall as you need.

if you are looking to buy. hit up one of the starving artist sales and get murals for about $50. Or check with your local college art department to see if any students are looking for some work to paint it for you.
 
good.... ^ that's pretty basic and cool, no details of skiers though.

And i Like the Down the stairs painting.. could defo do somefink similar

It'd be straight sick to do it all legit like with a mural of mad river glen with a single chair hanging in your living room.
 
I will suggest you to hire a interior professional. If you want to do it then first of all take a small part and do experiment on that. Because some time it happened that you don't like the color after colored. So take a small portion before..
