December Skiing?!?!

So about Skiing in December.

Doesn't really snow up in Seven Springs, PA around the 25th and that's the only time I'm there doesn't really snow that much and conditions are bad so I can't ski.

WHY!!!???!!?!

Some places people just ski in the winter and December is actually fall. Christmas is technically in winter but just barely. Hard to expect enough snow for Christmas when it is just the 4th day of winter.

Heck we are having a rough time getting Dec turns here in Oregon and we have skiing like 400-500 days per year.

How do you ski 400-500 days a year?

Year round snow on the volcano. Also we have a long spring season.

But the maximum skiing you can have in a year on this planet is 365 for a regular year and 366 in leap years.

I skied 401 days in a leap year . I have a full time job 80 miles from the ski hill otherwise I’d ski more. Take a look at some of the many ‘how many days’ threads on NS and you will see 400 is no big deal. Lots of peeps get way more than 400 days/ year. The days are way longer out here too so people are getting like twice as many laps/ day.

Thats odd , i ski blue mounain Pa and they already have half their trails open (20 trails). Been open since Thanksgiving weekend. Only a few park features but they change every week so its pretty good.

Isn't 7springs all about the parks though?

Yes ma'am, still surprised they don't have enough feel good flakes to cover the ground and make some rail features, after all it is east coast, what are we supposed to hit jumps or something.

there is no need to be jelly mang, you can totally just drive to Mt. Hood and get some extra days for yourself.

I'm so lost. How do you ski more days in a year than actual days in a year?!
