Dear New England, This is what we can't have nice things.

I went to Killington for the first time today. it's a pretty confusing fucking mountain. I actually got lost and ended up at the bottom gondola near the highway while I was trying to fin the K-1 lodge.

Alright, but in our defence, we also don't have the ability to have expansive backcountries and massive powdery bowls, and no one wants to ride the same trail over and over again, so the duck a rop and boom, an hour later they are lost. It isn't because people are stupid, they are just incredible bored.

"'Everyone's trying to be like shaun white, if you know what I mean."' Good closing statement with absolutely no validity. Pretty funny story though.. my mom was telling me that there were headlines like everyday about more people getting lost at killington.

killington mountain operations are a bunch of complainers. if they are complaining about thier falling budget due to the late searches then make an hourly rate and make the idiot who got lost pay. the mountain i am at has been considering this idea. also, isnt there a regional search and rescue operation and if the skier is off area then its not the resorts problem.

Sunday River is way harder to navigate in my opinion. There's like 6 mountains all smashed together with tress all over the fucking place.......and it's colder than my asscrack.

ski to the bottom of the drainage to find a lift/road. how hard is that? its not like the west where if you go down the wrong drainage and follow it, it'll be a week before you reach civilization.

at okemo they figured people where going to get bored so basically the instructors and okemo employees made new glade trails, which actually aren't that bad.

No, it's because they're stupid. If they're that "bored" they should take their annual ski trip out west. Ducking ropes is straight dumb.

Ducking ropes = silly business.

Ducking ropes without knowing where you're going, then not paying attention to where you're going and where you need to get to = Back in the day natural selection would've taken care of your kin a few generations prior.

Yeah true. However, Killington is a ridiculously expensive place to go...Lift tickets, food, and where ever you're going to be staying. Super pricey.

Holy fuck, it's not that confusing. I went to Killington this winter, not that bad at all. I ducked ropes like 5 or 6 times on my last day cause it was a pow day, and the only good pow run was closed, and the run took me straight back to the K-1 Gondola.

If you think it's confusing, take a trail map.
