sorry for the shitty thread,

from

it's aspen so the park is going to be nice. no it's not close to breck, but if you're mostly just skiing park aspen park will be just as fun. Breck's park gets so crowded and aspen's will be empty

damnit ur back

..so aspen is not a good park place, its more big mountain (ive never skied powder so hopefully itll be my first time

Don't miss understand me, there is great park skiing to be had, but you shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to diversify your skiing a bit.

I skid snowmass last year for spring break.

Got some decent snow the first few days. If you want some REAL skiing, definitely check out the cirque.

Skid snowmass park the last 3 days and it was sick. Not as good as breck but still a great park

I'm going to CO int he end of january, i'll be in arvada. I usually ski loveland and a basin, where else should i check out? powder in trees nimbus style if possible, i'll ski park here in NJ.

Buttermilk and Snowmass both have really good parks. And the cirque at Snowmass is epic if there's pow, as is almost anything at Highlands. Ajax is decent, they have a lot of nice groomers and some steeps, but no park. In all, I think you'll really enjoy it, and if you have the chance to go to Aspen, I wouldn't even think twice about Breck.

I had no clue what you were talking about and then I looked Arvada up on wiki...."portions of the Denver metropolitan area--substantially including Arvada--became contaminated with radioactive Pu-239"

Bout 2 1/2 to 3 hours past breck depending on I70 road conditions. Buttermilk and snowmass both have really nice parks. Take a day to ski each of the 4 mountains, plenty to do outside the park. Ajax has sick steep trees, and big fast open runs. Highlands also has sick trees, and highlands bowl. Take the time to hike the bowl.. Some of the best in-bounds skiing I've ever done. Buttermilk is pretty flat.. they just installed a new lift though which makes it easier to ride the better terrain. Buttermilk park should be pretty mean by spring break.. Snowmass has everything, from big park to big mountain.

Like I said, take a day to ride all 4. Hit me up if you want any other suggestions for stuff in town.. food ect...

SpaghettiCat, I'm worried about your ability to ski considering you ski at Liberty Mountain so yea...

You're gonna love it dude. Sking colorado is fucking nuts when you normally ski on the ECDefinitely take it easy the first day, terrain change and altitude sickness can make things dangerous

ya im headed out to aspen this winter break end of december definatley stoked any locals how has it been checked the website said not much terrain is open think my week will be good or not i ski a little park but mostly like pow and trees

x games is held at buttermilk, just thought id throw that out there.

being from pa myself, you will be blown away by even the shittiest parks, everyone is complaining about the grooomers out here at the moment, saying that they are icy, they dont know what ice is.

you will have a great time no matter where you go, and try and get a chance to ski some powder, rent pow skis if you can. you will get hooked.

Snowmass has 22 rails and 2 decent jumps hopefully more by the time you get here

no pow yet but soon hopefully.

anyone headed out here hit me up and we can shred.

Haha I know man it's crazy went out to Utah last spring break I was blown away and great I can't wait to get out there

Snowmass has the sickest park. It's completely empty, and it has a high speed quad that goes from the bottom of the park to the top with no lift line. I think it's on par with Breck and Keystone; I'm sure others will disagree. Either way, you'll love it.

no its not close to breck which only makes it better. aspen has some of the best skiing in colorado. including park if thats really your thing, but id suggest skiing the other terrain

"Yeah well, that's why they call it Asspen."

AsspenGet More: SOUTHPARKmore...

but don't worry OP. the park will be way better than you're used to and there's enough other shitty terrain to keep you entertained.
