Good test for broken fingers/toes:

Flick it hard, if its above a 5 on the 10 pain scale, go see a doc.

Could be, but spraining toes isn't as common as just breaking them. Or least to my knowledge anyway...

Figure if it is broken you could ride. You use your toes alot to help initiate turns and control yourself, so you'd have to ski light. but at least it would prevent them from bending alot.

But hey, if its that bad, a doc might be your best bet - there's no sense in not tending to a break, even if it is your toe. Could just end up getting worse and worse, then you'll be out for even longer.

its not the toe its at the begining where the joint is, if u look at your big toe on the side of it is a ball, well that is what's hurting me, and i just found this which makes me believe its just a sprang

A broken (fractured) bone requires emergency care. Suspect a possible broken bone if your child heard or felt a bone snap, if your child has difficulty moving the injured part, or if the injured part moves in an unnatural way or is very painful to the touch.

A sprain occurs when the ligaments, which hold bones together, are overstretched and partially torn. Simply overstretching any part of the musculature is called a strain. Sprains and strains generally cause swelling and pain, and there may be bruises around the injured area. Most sprains, after proper medical evaluation, can be treated at home.

I sprained my middle toe during the summer kicking off the side of a swimming pool, so you can sprain toes doing stupid stuff, you probably just sprained it
