Hello ns, i have this years Bluehouse Antics. The other day on the mountain, my friend noticed that I have a bit of de-lam on the tip. Wondering how this could be repaired for the end of the season or if i should let Bluehouse know?

epoxy that shit then clamp it over night, if that doesnt work i know a couple people that have screwed/ bolted it together
 
I had the infamous first line invaders (comic book ones) and they delammed like am other fucker. Anyways my dad just picked up some normal epoxy from the store and like that guy said clamped it over night, and they became bomb proof after that. So I don't think it maters, see if they have one that says water proof or something on it, if such a thing exists.
 
check your warranty, if they're still within then get in touch with the retailer you bought them from. if not, then repair with epoxy and rivets if you want.

thing with epoxy is to make sure all the surfaces are properly dry and dust free before you apply it, then clamp it up tight and leave for 24hrs. if you really want to rivet them, do this after the epoxy has set. a google search should return some results for riveting ski tips/tails
 
my buddy suggests JB weld, i havent used it personally but it has saved multiple skis from dlaming
 
Yeah what he said. Most people recommend marine epoxy since its waterproof, but all epoxy really is waterproof. I use hobby store model airplane epoxy (but I've never fixed a delam with it) So yeah I would just recommend using epoxy from a marine store, Make sure you clean both sides thouroghly before putting the epoxy in there. Also mix the epoxy REALLY well or it wont cure. Mix it per the instructions to, if you have to much catalyst the epoxy can ignite itself. Clamp it nice and tight with maybe some wood blocks to prevent damage to the ski. Also if you can, flip the ski with the base up to prevent epoxy from leaking all over your base, because when you epoxy this, you want just enough to ooze out around the area. While its curing if you have a space heater, throw that facing the ski (just be careful not to burn the place down) Then after you're all done, if you can I would suggest putting one or two rivets about a half inch back from the tip.
 
This was happening to me on my old invaders, so I brought it to my shop and one of the guys there had the same thing happening on his antics. Apparently they sent him these clip things that you screw into the ski. He had a bunch left, so my skis now look like this.

I guess you could epoxy it, dunno how well it'd hold though. Or acquire these clip things.
 
Before you try to repair them see if you can get them warrantied. Contact wherever you bought them from and I'm sure they will help you out this is usually a factory defect. Luckily I was able to warranty a pair of skis for the same problem.
 
Yeah, I just emailed Bluehouse and basically explained the same thing and asked about the warranty and what they suggest I do if not.

Did you buy them directly from Bluehouse? I you bought them from a shop online/locally they could probably help you out more efficiently.
 
My race skis are delamed along the side (not right at the tip) I cleaned it out really well and epoxied it, but it didn't hold. Really sucks
 
Try gorilla glue! I just did it on mine, lasts. A while! And if th glue comes apart you can just redo it implement. And it's cheap and fast

apoxy is great, but will give out quick enough. if you combine the two, your skis will be bombproof. i just delammed 3 tips on my shitty 4FRNT's and filled them all with apoxy then put 5 rivets in each tip. its not going anywhere
 
Fill the gap with epoxy and clamp it for 2-3 days if you can wait. If you have a few rivets, use them too - that will make it hold .
 
if its delaming from the side and you want it to stop duct tape but that only works if its shreded.
