Nobody wins a world cup race by 12 seconds. Champrey is the steepest course in the world and he SLAYED it in the pouring rain. those announcers were not excited enough.

Thank you Patrick. I was about to flip on this kid until i saw your comment. Not only did he win, but he won by over 11 seconds... AT WORLD CHAMPS. And then that classic Danny Hart whip just epitomized the win. Although I do wish Gwin would have topped off the greatest season downhill has ever seen, but Danny deserved it for sure.
 
yeah how in the fuck did he do that. i had to go back and watch it twice to make sure i read the time right at each split
 
Hart attack! I sounded similiar to the announcers when i first saw this. He's gonna give Gwin and the other top guys a serious run for their money more often next season I'm sure.

I love DH so much... the culture of it is pretty well embodied in the announcers and the riding kinda speaks for itself. Danny Hart's run made me go apeshit when I was first watching it...

Unless you've been riding over here in Europe, you have no idea how insane that run was- there's nothing like it in the states or even at MSA or Bromont in Quebec. The camera footage only captures about half of how steep that run really is.

Rob Warner's enthusiasm was completely and thoroughly justified.
 
that was nucking futs!! crazy how fast he comes into those corners and just cuts through em in the mud/rain. i thought he was gunna eat shit a few times fer sure, but never did. that guy rips.
 
I think the track has a lot to do with the time gap. If you look at a lot of the results from Champery a winning margin of 10+ seconds is pretty standard.

Not to take away from his run at all though, I almost fell off my seat when I saw him do that whip.

Would have been sick to see Troy Brosnan's run too. Second fastest time and in the worst conditions.
