Damon on the yankees

Eh, they're talking about it on ESPN. Damon is a free agent and the yankees need a leadoff hitter so Jeter can hit 2.
 
i dont think Damon is that dumb. He is almost a god in Boston, man he would be the most hated player whenever he came to town.
 
if he does, it's the end for him. he'll either suck ass, or someone will brutally murder him. more likely the 2nd one.
 
Okay Okay here's the deal. Damon and his agent, Scott Boras are asking for a 7 year deal and they're going to shop around. One Yanks executive has been quoted on saying the two have "their heads in the clouds" if they think they'll get that for the Yankees.
 
"The Yankees have no interest in signing Damon, a Boston Red Sox free agent, to the seven-year contract that Scott Boras, his agent, would like. But if Damon remains unsigned deep into the off-season and his price falls into the three- or four-year range, the Yankees could become involved."

So hopefully Boston gets on top of the situation, gets a GM and makes a deal fairly quickly.
 
boras know hes not even getting a 5 year deal that why last week there was all those desperation rumors popping up about detroit offering him a long term deal, it was part of ploy to try and force the sox to sign now, damon and boras both know that anything beyond 3 years probably wont be offered by either team. The yankees dont want another bernie williams type deal and neither do the sox. I'll admit he could go to the yanks but i expect to see him in boston next year
