Damn Volcanos! (Argentina)

So I just got into Bariloche (Argentina), it's pretty dusty with ash due to a volcano erupting about 60kms away. Some people seem optimistic that the season will still be ok, others are convinced that the season will be a bust because the volcano will keep on erupting, there'll be no tourists and the weather will be messed up. I have no idea, thinking about going to one of the resorts further north, but I don't have jobs arranged there. Finding it hard to base my decisions on unpredictable acts of nature.

Anyone else planning on coming down here? Anyone changed their plans?
 
That is not good news. I saw some pics from Chapelco and it looks like they're getting some snow. Hopefully the snow keeps coming and the volcano doesn't throw a bunch more ash into the air. I'll wait until the 1st of aug. to make the call. I'd much rather ski Cerro Catedral and Chapelco, but i'll head up north if i have to. Please keep me updated.

Im headed down! Not too worried about it. Once more storms start hitting it should settle most of that ash wont be much of an issue.
Ill be in Chile though, Evolve is going to go off. So much fun.
 
Man KC you coming to Chile with Evolve this year?? thats gonna be sick!

Anyway the season in the capital has been really shitty, almost no snow yet, hopefully late june/july its going to be better.

Great to hear about people coming to Chile/Argentina instead of going to NZ or going to summer camps. Im sure you wont regreat.
 
I'm the same town as SASS is, but I'm a ski instructor, so I am planning on working, just not sure right now if there is going to be any work!
 
K.C.!! great to hear your going down to chile with evolve ill be there for session two! sorry to threadjack but how are the conditions down there and is the volcano effecting anything?
 
Already said, the seasons sucks so far, almost no snow at all, hopefully it gets better the next 2 weeks.

At least in the capital, where part of the evolve camp is.
 
hopefully it will, sorry about the misunderstanding i though you were referencing to argentina not chile
