Daleboot, anybody used them?

I have quite possible the craziest shaped feet. There isnt a single boot that fits my foot even with extensive bootfitting. I've heard Daleboot does the best custom boots built around your foot. Has anybody used them? Reviews?
 
Do you have a daleboot fitter around you?

A good fitter will either

A) do a lot of boot work to fit your crazy feet

B) Send you to another fitter who can do daleboot, vacufit, etc.
 
A few people I patrol with have Daleboots and they absolutely love them, they're a little pricey and the process is pretty intensive but if you cant find any other boots that fit I would definitely recommend it
 
alright gooddeal, definitely going to go the daleboot route. my foot's last is about 113 at its widest, and i have a massive arch as well. I've been to the easts best boot fitters and still end up with painful feet after a few runs.
 
After spending about $600 on high volume boots, and about 1-2 trips a week into a ski shop with a reputable boot fitter for an entire season, i said fuck it and went to daleboot. A good boot fitter can do A LOT, but after the experience I had last season I ended up going with dale boot because they can custom make the shell and guarantee it will fit, free adjustments for life.
 
Avoid dale boots would be my recommendation after working on quite a few. There shells can take no adaption so if the fit is not correct there is very little you can do.

Your foot is not that wide really. What length are they? Have you considered the salomon custom shell boots. I got a 123mm wide foot with a really high instep fitted into a quest max 100 last season no problem. May be worth a look.
 
how did you fit into that boot with a 98mm last?

Most bootfitters i've been into have said you cant really blow out a boot much more than 6mm or so
 
FYI - boot companies provide last measurements off of a size 26 shell. So when we say that the Atomic Hawx (or whatever) is 100mm it is 100mm on size 26, 98mm on size 25, 102 on size 27 and so on and so on.

Last width (and all other measurements) reduce on smaller sizes and increase on larger sizes.
 
Not speaking for Tom...but ive got the xmax 120 and have sold and fitted many. In fact, last yeat the xmax 100 was our best selling boot.

Its all about the custom shell's plastic, it has the ability to be heated to a relatively low temp and become extremely soft. Once cooled, the plastic, unlike others, holds this new form, making for a simple fitting process and extremely comfortable boots.

You may need some extra work beyond the initial process...and of course a footbed.
 
Well yeah like one nerdy said its only 98 in a 26. He was a 28 so that boot started at 102. 20mm is quite a but to go but perfectly possible if the fitter knows what he is doing. That is the big advantage with the max shell. They can really expand to huge sizes. The non max shells such as the 110 and 120 are the old 100 mm non custom shell. You will be much better with the quest max. Maybe see if you can find last seasons 120 max as that was full custom. The reason the 130 is not a max shell this season is because most people wanted it stiffer so it was increased to 130.
 
Or even look at the Xmax and Xpro. Sorry got confused between this thread and another regarding quests. The Xmax is the 98 last custom shell and the Xpro I supposedly bigger at 100 mm but they both fit very similar.
 
alright sweet, ill check out these options. I'm still convinced i may have the weirdest foot to fit into a ski boot. I'm a 26.5 with a 114.5 last (just measured again last night) and have quite an arch and big calves, so its tough haha but thanks for the opinions. I know one nerdy knows Ryan Rubino up at SkiRack in Burlington and even his best work over two seasons couldnt get me in a comfortable boot
 
Is that the width of your foot weighted or unweighted. The width may be coming from the arch collapsing. What type of footbeds are you currently using?
 
that is the width weighted.

currently using Alines, and i've used heat molded Instaprints with no luck
 
Ok well if it's weighted I would guess some of that is coming from instability in the foot. See if you can find anyone who makes custom sidas footbeds. They are the most customisable and can offer a great level of surport if made correctly. Once your foot is surported and neutral you will find you have a much better of an idea of the true shape of your foot.
 
Have you tried the guys at Inner Bootworks in Stowe? They do great work and ive also had a good experience at Slopestyle VT in Montpellier
