Hahahahaha, yeah 60k (even less, depending on how much he gives everyone who helped him) is going to destroy his life because as we all know, that's the same as winning 30 million dollars.

 
It's a 33% tax rate on that to whoever the kid is that thinks he is going to mess up his life with that amount of money...so $66k. Divided up.

What that equals? A sweet sum of money to pay off probably most bills he has.
