I've always loved dalbello boots, but after my rampages ( best boots i ever owned) got completely ruined from wear and tear i tried out the voodoo. It really just wasn't working for me, Just didn't work with my foot and calve shape giving me the most severe shin bang/shin splints, and blistered up my ankles I have ever experienced ( pretty much had a shitty time skiing because of it) The shop i bought em from couldn't help me, i was really really disappointed. So i call dalbello not expecting much, the guy is so chill. He hooks me up with a new pair of krypton rampages ( the original boot i loved) in exchange for the voodoos no charge! Dalbello boots for life! thanks guys

sounds like a shitty shop, but that's a pretty awesome outcome! im stoked on my dalbellos... they fit like a glove

If you ever have a problem with your gear and the shop you bought them from can't help you, ask for the rep for the brand's info!!!! They can do a lot of things that the shop can't like replace your broken skis and stuff.

yeah i was bummed that the shop refused to help, i had no intention of dalbello helpin either, but they were soo nice

^companies really want you to be stoked on their product and have a good experience, if you really liked your boots, next time you need new ones, you have a good chance of buying dalbello's again.

do think the cuff on the voodoo's caused you pain? cause they have the same cuff as the il moro?

did you get next years? they're so sick.

its not the boot..its me im not heavy enough nor have enough volume around my feet to get the right flex...the voodo is a good boot...just not good for me..the rampage fits me a lot better

definitely man, customer service pays off...ill be spendin more money on their products for years to come

I work at a shop and have seen some serious problems with the voodoo. We have swapped them for rampages for two people and both of them feel immediate relief.

you know, i saw them in a shop and I said aren't those supposed to be soft? but the guy said they're actually super stiff and someone returned them cause he couldn't flex them at all. dalbello's site says nothing about their flex though. i see them described as 75 through 85 on rei though.

an il moro which should be far far far stiffer out flexes it...its so misleading the flex is not a 70..stiffest boot I've ever skied couldn't flex it at all

Can't speak for Dalbello but I tried some Nordi's the other day with a 100 flex that I could barely flex. Then I took a few laps with some Technica's that also had a 100 flex but they felt super soft.

someone needs to make a standard flex rating scale. maybe use a machine to flex the boots to a certain angle and note the force used? someone is gonna find something wrong with that though, i'm sure there is.

I love my rampages. Definitely will be replacing them with another pair or with il moros when I need new boots.

Do you still have their phone number? or know where to look for it? I just broke my boots and cant find a contact number on their website.

The Voodoos seem to need the flex to be broken in a bit. I've been on mine for about 7 days now and they've definitely gotten a bit softer. It also takes a while to get the buckle settings dialed. I'm just getting that now and I'm stoked on them so far. From everything I've read on them, it seems like people either really love this boot or hate it with a burning passion.
