any reviews? I'm like 80% on resort, 20% backcountry, help me not spend $$$ and regret it
 
I just picked up Lupo ax120 and I've got one day touring and one resort day so far and I like them a lot, ultimately you just want to get a boot that fits and works for you but if you fit in them I definitely recommend them. The only things I found is some concerning wear on the toe plastic from my bindings( I believe I'm the only one with this issue) and taking the tongue off is a little annoying but they are super comfy on the way up. if your only taking a short hike I've heard of people just leaving them on
 
I've had 2 pairs of ax120's and have really enjoyed them. They would be great for how you would be using them. However, I'd recommend taping down the walk mode while in the resort. I've had some issues with the walk modes not sitting flush to them boot and when landing a bit backseat it's caused the walk mode to blow out the plastic a bit and bend the aluminum attachment for the lever

I have the ax 120 from last year and probably have about 50-60 resort days and 15-20 touring works really well and is one of the easiest fitting boots for my foot out of the box.
 
Get whatever fits your foot right, first and foremost.

otherwise, yeah it's a fine boot. The plastic is a bit soft because it's made out of grilamid, but it's ultimately fine.

I'd probably recommend a boot like the Cochise or something stiffer though..
 
Got the AX120 this season and love em. Been riding them roughly 50/50 resort/tour and other than the same cosmetic toe issue people have mentioned these boots are treating me great. Solid enough for how I ride and a high enough instep for my foot with a tight enough heel pocket - just needed a little punch up front and they fit like a dream. Literally haven't felt this good in a boot in my entire life, so that'll bias my opinion of its technical features.

Walk mode with tongues off is great for long approaches, but it just adds one more step during a transition so I usually leave the tongues on for subsequent laps.
