D3o finally incorporated into consumerwear!

For those of you who may remember, a while back there was news of a substance that was extremely flexible, yet also extremely shock resistant. The molecules behave as a liquid normally, and then behave as a solid when impacted. It was amazing, we all pined for some sort of application to snow sports...

Well, this is the first i've seen of some actual products out for it, and it's pretty incredible stuff. This one quiksilver beanie is tight, you could get smacked over the head and be fine, there's some coats, gloves...

yeah, neither am I. they would still be spandex probably so they can go faster or whatever it is all that spandex is doing. ilovesnwbrdmlf (sp?) just said they do use the same type of thing now.

spyder already has this shit on their ski raece dsuits and race armor i ahve a padded top with it its not a liquid but feels the same as the stuff fdrom jannsport backpacks in the straps it is fucking sick it is like plastic when it gets hardened
