Another question about d-structure, so i see that they have last years 08 anthems for $199, good deal right, but its the San Fran (US) site not the Canadian one, so when i order them there was no notice of their being duties on top of the AMERICAN price, so i am wondering how they are shipping it to me. Are they shipping from San Fran or Quebec, duties or what? Cheers for help.
 
san fran. you're prolly free of american tax but the exchange rate makes up for it, then expect canadian border patrol to charge you duties to the max. and depending on who d-structure ship with, you might end up with a shitload of brokerage fees.

but who knows, you might get lucky.
 
yea if tey ship with UPS youll rpobably end up paying an extra $100. Ive had horrible experiences with them when it comes to international shipping. if you want to get around a bunch or extra fee's go with usps not a pivate company
 
I just ordered a pair of invaders and told them in the "additional instructions" area that if they can not ship with USPS to contact me and cancel my order.
 
hmm well mine were just ordered so i will give them a call on monday as it is not likely they will be doing any processing on a sunday...anyone else?
 
Well, when they cross the border you get charged GST and PST (5%+7%), and customs fees (on Line skis it ends up being another 8%), and add on the 25% more because of what the USD CAD exchange rate is, and a small customs brokerage fee.
You'll pay a bunch more, but probably not more than a total of 50% more. It'll still be worth it overall.
 
That a very warm gesture although legitimacy is always a question i may have to take you up on that, thanks. Anyone buy from d-structure

I dunno about d-structure but some sites send your stuff as a gift so no taxes or anything which is pretty dope if you ask me
 
Im going to ask them to mark the package as a warraty replacement with no charges to reciever because supposidly that takes care of the extra taxes.the same thing as marking it as a gift.

I bought last years reno jibs and opened the box last week and they were this years. hell yeah
 
I felt bad, but then realized the coupon that i got in an email a few days before i bought em didnt really work. So i said what the hell, ill ride em.

Now back to my story, so yah i e-mailed stores and called the Quebec store and they said line might have a couple more pairs so they could hopefully get them, or possibly shipping it from SF to Quebec store, because there wouldn't be duties on that and then ship them to here in TO...so super legit and hopefully everything will end smoothly, but ill keep you guys updated.
 
Really thats good news. i think im going to call and see if they could do the same. D-structure SF hasnt replied yet so i dont know whats up, but once they do ill post what they said.
 
sorry to double post but i just actually got a call from d-structure SF and they said they cant ship with USPS but they have never had any problems with international shipping before so i told him id think it over and id call back in a bit and let him know if im going through with the order or not.
 
I just got a call from the SF store and they said they didn't have the size of skis i ordered which is super lame...but they said about something if the product is made in the US there are not duties, and that they havent received any calls about problems with that, so i am kind of thinking it wouldn't be to bad with shipping. To me it was $30 shipping...so assuming there are no duties it not to bad. Even if there were the ski was still dirt cheap so it would have been worth it, but to bad they don't have it.
 
ok i weant ahead and got them.if you call again talk to the guy named chance he's really helpful. He's shipping them out today
 
171, when i ordered them it said they had them in stock but as i was contacting them about shipping arrangements they said they didn't have the ski...so were trying to figure something out
 
shit man thats a bummer, i had the same problem. i was looking to get 161's because im a wee fellow ( 5'3" or 5'4" havnt measured in a while) but i decided to get 171's instead.

How tall are you? and maybe they can contact line to see if there are any left.
 
5'9ish ...the anthems ive demoed were 178 and i have come to the conclusion that 178 even though i could live with them are not the best thing for me
 
I got some boots last year from ontario and they were shipped fedex to the US I didn't pay shit extra but that is the only time I've shipped international.
