Cypress Mountain, BC

I am heading up to Vancouver, BC in a couple weeks and was thinking about checking out Cypress because I can ski free with my Crystal (Boyne group) pass. Has anybody been there? Is it any good? It looks tiny, but I'll be with some intermediate skiers, so would we have fun cruising around for a day?

Also, I know Whistler is 2 1/2 hours from Van, but don't tell me I should go there, I obviously know that it's way better than Cypress. Just want an opinion on Cypress.

Thanks!

I hate Cypress, but some people like it. It probably has the most terrain of the local mountains. Seymour and Grouse generally have better parks. I myself, i like seymour. ANd Whis is only an 1.5 hours from Cypress just saying...

cypress is good, especially on a pow day, i'd go there since it's free, but if you wanna ski some park, grouse and seymour is where it's at.

Ive been to all the local mountains but like other people were saying Grouse and Seymour have better parks, but Grouse is dope for skiing Blacks and all mountain!

i work at cypress and have a pass to grouse as well....both have their pros and cons. If you are heading up cypress, especially on a weekend, theres a lot of beginners. I'd stick to raven chair and sky chair its a bit quieter and there are some good runs up there. Pow stashes to be had as well, you really can't go wrong with either mountain. Park at cypress is not great though

screw cypress, they are overpriced and act like a little whistler. spend the cash and hit up grouse or seymour, you wont regret the decision.

grouse does have descent terrain if you know where to look. however if your not gonna be riding in the park and you get free lift tickets to cypress id go with that
